Date: Sunday, April 29, 2012 at 2:00 PM Come learn about the 1938 Room in the new Wellesley High School and view various artifacts from the 1938 High School that have been incorporated into the new building. Historical Society president Martin Padley will serve as emcee. Historical Commission chairman David Wright will explain the commissions role in developing the 1938 Room, its features and significance. Wellesley historian Beth Hinchliffe will discuss a number of the artifacts that were moved from the old school to the new one - plaques, murals, bricks, plantings, etc. - and not only the special history that each contains, but also their symbolism in bringing the past into the future. Coffee, tea, and cookies will be available courtesy of the Historical Society. |
